Engineering Tank Technician
CGRS is a company founded in 1987, specializing in environmental investigation, remediation, and leak detection projects. They are seeking a Tank Technician who will perform inspections, evaluations, and field upgrades while supporting engineering staff with high-quality documentation for engineering reporting.

Responsibilities
Performs site visits and field work, including verifying site conditions and collecting measurements required for engineering evaluation and design support
Prepares inspection checklists, photo logs, field measurements, and neat daily field logs; ensures documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted to the engineering team in a timely manner
Coordinates with project engineers to confirm project scope, data needs, inspection requirements, and field deliverables. Some inspections require confined space entry
Assists in preparing Health and Safety Plans and provides field input
Maintains current OSHA and HAZWOPER training requirements and follows safe work practices
Ensures proper care, inspection, and storage of PPE and field equipment; requests replacement gear when needed
Mobilizes equipment using checklists to ensure proper tools, testing instruments, and supplies are available and operational
Maintains a secure, clean, and safe work site; works with field team to accomplish project goals
Interacts with clients professionally and in accordance with CGRS Core Values
Travels safely to site locations, undistracted, and in compliance with traffic rules and company standards
Qualification
Required
Must have a valid Driver's license and driving record which meets company standards
High School Degree required
Prefer 2 or more years of experience in construction or a related position
Demonstrated experience with hand tools and machine operations
Ability to perform inspections, evaluations, and field measurements accurately; document findings clearly for engineering reporting
Comfortable using survey/laser equipment, ultrasonic meters, Barcol hardness testers, pit gauges, remote camera equipment, and concrete hammer testing tools
Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot field equipment and tools in industrial environments
Ability to prepare clear daily field logs, checklists, photo documentation, and field records using CGRS templates and standards
Knowledge of safe work practices, hazard recognition, PPE requirements, and ability to follow HASP/JHA expectations
Familiarity with construction workflows, access requirements, and industrial site conditions
Safe operation of field support equipment such as generators, manlifts, forklifts, compressors, pumps, and trailers
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, clients, and site representatives
Ability to manage a changing workload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy under field conditions
Must be organized and willing to work well in a team environment; must be able to follow instructions and work independently
