Responsibilities
Serve as the dedicated data partner for the Community Growth and Marketing teams. Translate vague business questions ("How do we increase moderator retention?") into structured analytical projects
Build and maintain automated dashboards that track the lifecycle of a community from subreddit creation and early adoption to maturity and "thriving" status
Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns in moderation, contribution, and engagement that correlate with long-term community health
Partner with Data Science to ensure community metrics are aligned with company-wide North Star metrics. Deliver regular reports to leadership that quantify the impact of community initiatives
Work with Community Lifecycle teams to design, track, and analyze the results of community-facing experiments, ensuring we are learning quickly and scaling what works
Qualification
Required
4–7+ years in data analytics, growth marketing, or community insights
Track record of driving business decisions through data
Expert-level SQL is a must
Proficiency in databases, data visualization tools, and CRM (e.g., BigQuery, HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce)
Experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis
Ability to provide a point of view and strategic thinking
Ability to work collaboratively in a 'scrappy' environment
Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred
Experience with Reddit's unique community dynamics (moderation, karma, subreddits)
