Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The role involves assisting the onsite Accounting Department with daily auditing for sales and cash transactions, ensuring accurate financial operations and adherence to accounting policies.

Responsibilities

Responsible for accurate, daily counts of cashier deposits

Assists with department safe and house bank counts

Prepare daily cash and check deposits. Verify their accuracy

Answer the phone, process change requests, and cash employee paychecks

Assists with collection, daily count, and deposit of all vending and pay-on-foot terminal funds

Assists with random audits of all cashier banks

Ensures that all departments follow accounting policy and procedures

Responsible for confidentiality and adherence to all accounting security and procedural policies

Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Cash handling experienceBasic accounting principlesClerical experienceData entryTeam player

Required

Previous clerical experience, including typing, accurate data entry, and filing

Knowledge of basic accounting principles

Ability to learn quickly the technical aspects of the accounting office

Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on duty and in dealing with both employees and guests

Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks

Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work
