Manager IT Project Delivery
Shentel is a telecommunications company specializing in providing high-speed internet and other services to rural communities in the Mid-Atlantic United States. The Manager of IT Project Delivery will lead the Enterprise Program Office and IT Delivery Team, overseeing project management, planning, and execution while ensuring alignment with business goals and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Responsible for leading ePMO projects and programs for the organization including, but not limited to, acquisition or merger integrations, large change projects, and all IT Delivery efforts
Proactively work with senior leaders to develop and prioritize a portfolio of projects that will help deliver on Shentel goals
Lead and develop team to project manage delivery of projects for business
Develop project plans and schedules including all deliverables from business
Work internal departments to obtain deliverable commitments, solve problems, and develop corrective action plans as necessary to meet project goals and project due dates
Recognize the critical path, constraints, and task dependencies of a project
Develop and prioritize processes, plans, schedules, and risk strategies to meet project milestone and timelines
Proactively communicate project plans, schedules, and updates to internal and external customers
Define project management approach and support project managers with coaching, tools, templates and systems
Develop reports to reflect the health and status of projects from a budget, technical, and schedule standpoint
Define business analysis and requirements gathering approach. Support business analysts with tools and systems
Manage and develop staff to meet organizational objectives. Responsible to recruit, train, develop, coach, mentor and conduct performance reviews for staff
Observes all company safety procedures at all times
Demonstrates and holds employees accountable for stewardship of the brand to include embodiment of the Shentel Way by ensuring appropriate use of the brand (name, logo, company, appearance, and attitude) within their respective team and organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts or computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience is required
Minimum 5 to 7 years of design and implementation experience in IT, with deep knowledge of project management, program/portfolio management, business analysis, and various IT lifecycle delivery methods including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid
3 to 5 years leading and coaching teams
Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, peer and executive communications, customer relations and writing skills
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and technology partners
Demonstrated experience influencing without authority
Demonstrated experience leading multi-cultural, geographically dispersed teams comprised of organization IT, business stakeholders and vendor resources
Proven experience supporting SDLC activities. Understands waterfall and agile methodology and applies project management principles and strategic thinking
Mastery of fundamental IT project and work management skills and competencies
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to accomplish activities in order to meet time critical deadlines and respond appropriately in stressful situations
Preferred
MBA preferred
PMP certification is a plus
