Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and complex repairs on water-tube, fire-tube, and cast-iron boilers
Utilize advanced combustion analyzers and digital controls to troubleshoot burner performance and efficiency issues
Read and interpret blueprints and piping schematics to install new boiler systems, including pumps, valves, and venting
Test boiler water quality and manage chemical treatment systems to prevent corrosion and scale buildup
Maintain meticulous logs of all services performed and ensure systems meet ASME and local jurisdictional requirements
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency support for critical facilities (hospitals, schools, industrial plants)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial boiler service
Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean record
Experience with burner management systems
Strong knowledge of gas, oil, and dual-fuel firing systems
Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and ladder logic
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed
Preferred
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
ASME welding certification or pipefitting experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Training
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) integration
