Sales Intern
KP Aviation is a leading international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets. As a Sales Intern, you will support the Sales team with day-to-day sales operations and customer order processing, focusing on engine material and gaining practical experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
Support the Sales team by responding to inbound sales inquiries and requests
Assist with entering and updating sales orders in the system
Support business-hour AOG order processing, including order entry and internal coordination
Communicate shipment updates and order status to customers as directed by the Sales team
Work closely with Sales, Product Line, Repairs, Operations, and Business Operations to understand backlog and delivery timelines
Enter, update, and maintain Notes, Leads, Opportunities, and Quotes in the CRM system
Assist with issuing purchase orders for material purchased by the Sales team
Support pricing and availability requests for material and package sales
Assist in tracking and reporting open sales orders and backlog
Help maintain market intelligence related to part pricing and availability
Support inventory updates related to teardowns and repaired components
Assist in preparing customer quotations and obtaining vendor pricing and delivery information
Help expedite customer orders when required
Act as a support liaison between Sales, Repairs, and Operations as needed
Identify opportunities to improve sales order processing and communication workflows
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of sales operations, customer service, or business processes
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Basic analytical skills to support pricing, backlog tracking, and order status reporting
Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor
Ability to learn technical product information and internal systems quickly
Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and customers under guidance
Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. 'U.S. Person' includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Preferred
General awareness of aviation, aerospace, supply chain, or aftermarket operations is preferred but not required
