Felony Prosecutor
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Felony Prosecutor. The role involves managing daily docket maintenance, conducting trial procedures, and handling various pretrial and courtroom tasks under the direction of the Chief Felony Prosecutor.

Responsibilities
Assist in management of daily docket maintenance by processing pleas and plea negotiations
Handle routine pretrial court appearances
Manage court calendar
Prepare for and conduct writ hearings
File and respond to oral and written court motions
Prepare for and conduct trial procedures by presenting and defending motions to suppress and respond to discovery requests
Conduct various pretrial hearings
Interview witnesses
Organize case file for trial
Conduct scene investigations
Prepare trial exhibits
Review evidence
Prepare presentations
Conduct contested revocation proceedings
Try felony criminal cases to verdict
Perform all ancillary tasks
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field, normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree
A Doctorate of Jurisprudence and licensing by the State of Texas to practice law are required
Must have prior experience as a Misdemeanor Prosecutor and/or Chief Misdemeanor Prosecutor, preferably in Collin County
