Responsibilities

Supervises individual(s) typically consisting of support level employees

Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions

Reviews inspection, production schedules and manpower resources

Assigns and manages employees to maximize inspection objectives

Participates in establishing and modifying inspection methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures

Maintains reports, records and inspection documents

Establishes training plans

Required

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supervisor experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related supervisor experience

Prior leadership/supervisory experience

Experience with inspection equipment and attribute gauging

Inspections (in process, 1st article, receiving inspections)

Experience with calibrations for calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify conformance to prints

ISO-9001, AS-9100

Reading of blueprints, data, manuals, QADs or other materials to determine specifications, procedures or instruments required for inspection
