Senior LevelI3 INFOTEK INC is seeking an experienced Senior Vessel Designer to lead the mechanical design and engineering of pressure-containing equipment used in Oil & Gas applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in pressure vessels, boilers, and ASME/API codes, with hands-on experience in design calculations, analysis, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and engineering of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and storage tanks used in gas lift equipment, ESP housings, and surface separation systems
Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses, including:
Mechanical and structural analysis
Thermal analysis
Stress analysis using FEA tools
Fatigue and life assessment to ensure safety and integrity under operating conditions
Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry codes and standards, including:
ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII, Divisions 1 & 2
API 650 / API 620
NBIC regulations
Prepare and review engineering drawings, data sheets, specifications, and technical documentation
Review, evaluate, and approve vendor drawings, calculations, and proposed design changes
Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and field operations teams to ensure design intent, manufacturability, and issue resolution
Support continuous improvement efforts related to design efficiency, safety, and compliance
Qualification
Required
Strong background in mechanical engineering design for Oil & Gas equipment
Proven experience with pressure vessels, boilers, and storage tanks
In-depth knowledge of ASME BPVC, API, and NBIC codes
Hands-on experience with FEA and engineering calculation tools
Ability to interpret and produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation
Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
