Responsibilities

Reviews distribution expansion analyses and provides results to management for distribution system improvements, modifications and/or expansions

Communicates with customers to identify their needs and requirements and develops solutions and share solutions findings based on technical evaluations of distribution designs and specifications

Provides technical support for reliability and quality issues related to distribution system

Formulates strategies related to emerging technology initiatives related to distribution system

Develops programs for the integration of distributed energy resources into FPL’s grid and analyzes impact to current grid management and operations processes

Provides support for site permitting, licensing, certification and rate case proceedings for FPL, including participating on conference calls, meetings, preparing testimony, responding to interrogatories

Directs and manages the integration of distributed energy resources (DER’s) and related technologies into FPL’s distribution grid

Directs the scheduling of multiple projects to support Power Delivery initiatives related to Smart Grid

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Bachelor's – Engineering

Experience: 9+ years

Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years
