Responsibilities
Contribute to an experimental research effort in clean energy topics
Engage with the North American technology environment in technology scouting and joint research
Research degradation mechanisms present in hydrogen technology devices including electrolysis cells and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
Conduct degradation and performance testing of cells and materials for polymer electrolyte membrane electrolysis
Conduct electrochemical and physical characterization of electrochemical cells and materials
Develop diagnostic tests indicative of aging modes
Collaborate with other experimentalists and modelers in CR and PS as well as academic and national laboratory partners
Qualification
Required
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline
The candidate should have a proven research track record and a strong foundation in electrochemistry, preferably electrolysis
Prior experience with physical and chemical characterization methods is of interest
Autonomy, attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, excellent communication, and teamwork skills are expected
