The Program Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Revenue Cycle, assisting the leadership team in the Business Office, Patient Access, and Revenue Integrity.

Responsibilities

Greeting and assisting all patients, customers, and vendors presenting to the Business Office entrance. Answers all incoming calls, transfers or directs callers appropriately. Takes payments, generates receipts, balances cash drawer and processes daily deposit for Finance. Sorts and distributes mail from patients, payors, CMS and various hospital contacts including processing of returned mail
Create, run, update, copy and distribute monthly reporting, including invoice review and validation and submit vendor invoices to Finance for processing and payment
Manages department purchasing including supply orders and invoice processes
Responsible for processing Bankruptcies appropriately per Business Office Policy
Assists Revenue Cycle management in scheduling meetings, interviews, luncheons, etc. Assists with Access requests. Places tickets for maintenance requests
Performs clerical duties to include gathering information, document preparation as well as filing and organizing information. Track, list and file department contracts
Performs additional duties as assigned
Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area

Qualification

High School DiplomaGED

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
2 years to < 3 years of work experience
