Control Engineer
Coilcraft, Inc. is a global manufacturer specializing in high-performance RF chip inductors and power magnetics. They are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to develop and optimize PLC-controlled systems for automated machinery, collaborating with various engineering and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
Develop, program, and optimize PLC-controlled systems to reduce cycle times, increase uptime, and minimize operator intervention
Design control systems for high-performance automated machinery, including component selection, panel layouts, and schematics
Program, debug, and troubleshoot PLCs and automation equipment during build, testing, and production support
Work with a range of automation technologies, including PLCs, servo systems, stepper systems, HMIs, power supplies, motion controllers, and communication networks
Collaborate closely with mechanical designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams throughout machine design and build cycles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electronics or a related technical field
At least 2 years of hands-on experience programming PLCs in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across engineering and manufacturing teams

Experience creating electrical schematics using CAD tools

Exposure to or experience with vision systems
Familiarity with servo and motion control systems
