Mechanical Engineer
Global Seamless is a manufacturing company specializing in seamless steel tube and pipe production. The Mechanical Engineer will support and optimize mechanical systems and production equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operations of heavy machinery in the facility.

Responsibilities
Support and optimize mechanical operations across the seamless steel tube and pipe manufacturing process, including billet heating furnaces, rotary piercing (Mannesmann) mills, mandrel/plug mills, stretch-reducing mills, sizing, straightening, and finishing lines
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical breakdowns in heavy equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production
Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance activities for rolling mills, gearboxes, bearings, mandrels, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, cranes, cooling beds, and auxiliary equipment
Supervise installation, commissioning, alignment, and modification of mechanical equipment, coordinating with OEMs, contractors, and vendors as required
Analyze mechanical failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability and service life
Ensure mechanical parameters meet required quality standards for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, straightness, and overall product integrity
Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation using CMMS or manual systems
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce scrap, optimize energy usage, and lower maintenance costs
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant safety policies; actively promote safe work practices on the shop floor
Assist in internal and external audits related to ISO, API, ASTM, and customer-specific quality or safety standards
Coordinate with production, quality, electrical, and operations teams to achieve plant targets and resolve cross-functional issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in mechanical operations within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of heavy machinery including piercing mills, mandrel mills, heat treatment furnaces, and finishing lines
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
Experience in planning and executing preventive and predictive maintenance activities
Ability to supervise installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical equipment
Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Knowledge of quality standards for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and product integrity
Experience in maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
Familiarity with safety standards including OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout procedures
Ability to assist in audits related to ISO, API, ASTM, and customer-specific standards
Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
