Regulatory Scholars Program - Scholar in Residence
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is an independent organization focused on nursing regulatory matters. They are seeking a Scholar in Residence to gain valuable experience in nursing regulation and participate in a project related to their interests under the guidance of NCSBN’s Nursing Education Policy department staff.

Responsibilities
Provide valuable nursing regulatory/policy experience related to education, practice, licensure, policy, research and/or discipline depending on both the applicant’s primary area of interest and NCSBN’s organizational objectives
Learn from experts in nursing regulation and participate in a project related to their interests and to nursing regulation, under the guidance of NCSBN’s Nursing Education Policy department staff
Qualification
Required
Doctoral candidates (either those that are in the latter stages of their program or applicants with a doctorate who are working in a relevant field) or faculty
A cover letter describing your interest in nursing regulation and your experience related to nursing regulation. Please include: 1) regulation/policy/research interests, 2) what you would like to achieve through the position, 3) previous experience relevant to the position, 4) identification of a potential project that would be mutually beneficial to you and NCSBN
A resume or curriculum vitae (include any honors, awards, and any other relevant accomplishments)
Two letters of recommendation preferably from individuals having direct knowledge of your nursing regulation interests and abilities
Benefits
$3,000 relocation/housing allowance
Travel expenses associated with commuting to and from the NCSBN office during the program are not reimbursable.
