The Director of Product User Experience will lead the design strategy, ensuring exceptional user experiences across multiple software platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Leads and oversees the design strategy across a diverse product portfolio, prioritizing exceptional, user-centered designs for high-impact areas such as investment products, while applying a "good enough" familiar design approach to other products with the understanding that resources are limited for full redesigns or frontend overhauls. Ensure design consistency, usability, and efficiency while managing the trade-offs between innovation and practical execution based on business needs and bandwidth

Drives execution of design and UX related initiatives across the product portfolio, ensuring products hit target delivery dates committed to business

Establish design priorities across the portfolio, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet business goals

Creates best in class design solutions including high level wireframes and prototypes for further UX team development

Work closely with product management, team leads, software engineers and software architects in a global organization to develop UX and UI priorities, content, usability feedback and testing plans for pilot programs/early adoption of new features

Manages a global UX team consisting of leads and UX designers

Provides guidance and direction to UX team members, mentoring team in User Experience best practices through a community of practice

Manages annual budget and design related spend

Required

B.S. or M.A. degree in technology discipline i.e. Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, User Experience Design

10+ years of professional design or user experience

5+ years of experience managing a global UX team with multiple product lines

2+ years incorporating user feedback or research into design solutions

Portfolio of work displaying creative and fundamental design principles demonstrating critical thinking skills and project ownership

Familiarity with Figma, Aha, and Atlassian tools

Demonstrated designs across multiple mediums, i.e., dashboards, process flows, visual storytelling, product flow motion graphics and software applications

Experience working in a product-led, metrics-driven organization

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders

Excellent project management and organizational abilities, with a track record of meeting deliverables

Experience with Software Methodologies, i.e., Agile
