IT Operations Support Specialist
Rise8 is transforming the United States Government and is seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist to support day-to-day internal IT operations for employees. The role involves assisting with onboarding, managing IT support requests, and maintaining IT documentation.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day internal IT operations for Rise8 employees
Assist with employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including:
Creating and disabling user accounts
Assigning groups, licenses, and basic access
Respond to and manage Tier 1 IT support requests through our ticketing system:
Password resets
Access issues
Basic software and device troubleshooting
Follow documented run-books and procedures to complete IT tasks accurately
Escalate issues that fall outside of your scope with clear notes and context
Help maintain clear and up-to-date IT documentation, checklists, and internal guides
Perform basic administration tasks in tools such as:
Google Workspace
Slack
Other approved SaaS applications
Assist with routine IT operational tasks like:
License tracking
Asset inventory updates
Periodic access reviews (execution only)
Qualification
Required
1-4 years of experience in IT support, service desk, or a related role OR relevant education, training, or certifications
Basic understanding of user accounts and permissions
Basic understanding of common workplace tools (email, chat, file sharing)
Strong customer-service mindset and attention to detail
Comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users
Exposure to CMMC Level 2 / NIST 800-171–aligned environments or other regulated frameworks
Understanding the importance of least privilege, access reviews, and documentation in government-related work
Ability to execute IT tasks in compliance-driven environments by following established procedures
Preferred
Experience with Google Workspace & Microsoft 365
Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira, Zendesk, Freshservice, etc.)
Exposure to endpoint management or device support
Interest in cybersecurity or IT operations
Entry-level certifications (A+, Network+, Security+)
