Responsibilities

Develop and manage detailed test cases for charging-related functions and use cases, including: Immediate charging, Plug & Charge and payment systems, Fast charging preconditioning, Bidirectional charging (V2L AC, V2H DC), Battery Charge Care Mode (BCCM), Charging history, statistics, and Charging POI validation
Translate charging-related requirements into executable test procedures and vehicle-level validation plans
Maintain strong requirements traceability using tools such as Codebeamer, Jama, or Jira
Lead and coordinate validation trips and test campaigns at proving grounds and public charging stations
Execute testing under representative and extreme environmental conditions
Drive test execution and data collection, including preconditioning strategies, route planning, logging, and instrumentation setup
Benchmark charging performance across AC and DC fast charging scenarios, including range added per time unit and peak power delivery
Analyze charging behavior related to: Charging time and responsiveness, Connector compatibility, Fault handling and communication reliability, Charging curve accuracy and peak power delivery
Collaborate with charging systems, software, controls, and vehicle integration teams to communicate findings and resolve validation blockers
Document validation outcomes via test reports, anomaly tracking, and sign-off matrices to support release decisions
Support the integration of systems engineering principles and structured validation processes
Partner with concept and systems architect teams to address engineering and functional challenges
Support logistics planning, vehicle preparation, equipment readiness, and coordination with external test facilities

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
4+ years of experience in vehicle validation, preferably within automotive or EV charging systems
Experience writing test requirements and managing change requests
Working knowledge of requirements tools (Jama, Polarion, DOORS, MagicDraw, Codebeamer)
Familiarity with US regulations and governance related to EV charging infrastructure and safety
Solid understanding of vehicle development processes and automotive-grade charging standards
Experience developing and validating products that meet industry regulations and customer expectations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ownership, analytical thinking, and teamwork
Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment
