Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for commercial drone prototypes
Troubleshoot system-level issues and interface with hardware
Write and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation
Support firmware and driver-level development
Ensure embedded systems are scalable, reliable, and production-ready
Qualification
Required
5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
Systems level hardware experience (kernel interface)
Deep embedded systems and systems-level development experience (most critical skill)
Experience with hardware integration, firmware, and driver development
Familiarity with AWS and Yocto
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Preferred
Background in robotics or systems engineering
Experience with navigation systems or sensor/camera integration
Candidates with strong college or project-based embedded experience
