Director, Government Marketing Strategy

Thomson Reuters is seeking an experienced, digitally savvy leader for a Director, Government Marketing Strategy to drive marketing demand generation strategies for the Government Legal & Risk markets. This strategic role will involve close collaboration with various leaders and teams to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies while analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns.

Responsibilities

Deeply understand the Government segments’ go-to-market strategies, insights, personas, customer segmentation, competitive intelligence to translate business goals into marketing strategies
Partner closely across the marketing organization to bring strategies and plans to life through thoughtful planning, integration of relevant content and effective translation into demand gen programs and activities
Own creation, planning and activation of innovative marketing strategies for the Gov Legal and Gov Risk segments, with strong focus on transforming and optimizing digital channels, partnering closely with sales, demand gen and product marketing groups to build and align on upfront strategy and prioritization
Forecast, measure, analyze and report the impact of campaign and demand gen activities on marketing and sales pipeline, revenue and demand funnel velocity
Delivery of effective marketing strategies to fuel sales funnel and build pipeline, from marketing qualified lead to closed sale
Continually monitor success of planning process and identify efficiencies, opportunities to optimize, leverage best practices, etc
Consistently monitor performance data of assigned sub-segment; Derive insight and action items to leadership team and key stakeholders throughout the business

Required

Must be based in United States
8+ years of experience in demand gen, digital marketing, or growth marketing, with deep understanding of marketing frameworks and channel mix activation
Strong leadership, collaboration, teamwork and relationship-building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
Proven ability to develop and implement demand gen strategies and campaigns
Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, measuring, and reporting on marketing metrics
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
ABM and Government industry-specific experience a plus; deep understanding of modern demand generation technologies, platforms and systems
