Director of Financial Reporting

The Director of Financial Reporting will lead the company’s external and consolidated financial reporting function, partnering closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to enhance financial governance and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of external financial reports for senior leadership, shareholders, lending institutions, and other key stakeholders
Oversee the consolidation and reporting of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including balance sheets, income statements, statements of comprehensive income, equity, and cash flows, along with all related disclosures and footnotes
Manage the financial reporting calendar, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant filings and deliverables
Serve as a technical accounting resource, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, new accounting standards, and reporting implications
Act as a primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audits and ensuring a smooth, efficient process
Partner with treasury, tax, and operational finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency across financial reporting
Review and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to support strong governance and risk management
Mentor and develop members of the accounting and reporting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
Support special projects and strategic initiatives as requested by senior leadership
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience with Big 4 or large regional public accounting firms (audit-focused background strongly preferred)
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise, including consolidated financial statements
Experience working with complex, multi-entity organizations
Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and external stakeholders
CPA required (or active progress toward licensure)
