Responsibilities

Interpret manufacturing requirements, develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), and document manufacturing processes
Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporating Engineering changes into the MDPs
Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and correction action analysis as required
Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in-house as well as the supply base
Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues and as part of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements
Drive Continuous Improvements to reduce cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate processes, reduce costs (both direct and indirect), and optimize space utilization, and increase production throughput using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
Tool/fixture selection, development, and implementation

Required

Requires a bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with cable fabrication including point to point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency
Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming
Experience with 3D printing and/or CAD
Experience performing data analysis and creating Power BI dashboards from multiple data sources
Budgeting, presentation, and project management skills
Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to learn quickly and make decisions independently
Strong communication skills and ability to work on a team
Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and manage projects both individually and as part of a team
