Paralegal
Rosenthal Capital Group is seeking a self-starting, experienced Paralegal to join their growing team. The role involves supporting attorneys and account executives by drafting documents, conducting KYC diligence, and maintaining client files.
Responsibilities
Conduct due diligence using legal research software and various on-line platforms
Create all legal documentation for prospective and active clients, working independently and with both in-house and outside counsel, and maintain all such documentation utilizing internal document management system Quickbase
Create and monitor all UCC filings for clients
Attend and oversee closings both in-person and via electronic methods
Organize and maintain closing documents to ensure clients are properly setup for in-house systems monitoring, through coordination with account executives and attorneys
Maintain calendar for any necessary internal follow-ups, as well as for tracking alerts and follow-ups with and for account executives on any outstanding matters or documents
Qualification
Required
Degree in Paralegal Studies, Certification from an ABA recognized/accredited paralegal program or Contract Paralegal experience
Knowledge of legal research methods and resources, with proficiency in the use of legal research tools and software (Thomson Reuters CLEAR, vCheck, First Corporate Solutions, Secretary of State and US Patent and Trademark Office databases, CSC and Tax Guard)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines and clients
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Familiarity with legal software, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Word/Microsoft Outlook/Adobe Acrobat Pro/DocuSign
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Preferred
New York State Notary a plus, but not required at time of hire
