Deputy Executive Director
Scion Staffing is conducting a search for a Finance Officer for a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role will oversee all fiscal activities, managing both nonprofit and business operations, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making during a transitional period.

Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger management
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for nonprofit and for-profit operations
Maintain compliance with grant and fund accounting requirements, GAAP standards, and federal/state regulations
Conduct variance analyses and track cash flow to support strategic decisions
Collaborate with leadership and the board to provide financial insights and recommendations
Ensure internal controls and financial transparency across all organizational activities
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling)
Deep knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit fund accounting, and grant management
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
Flexible, solutions-oriented, and mission-driven mindset
Ability to manage complex financial operations while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
