Responsibilities
Propose, evaluate, and implement manufacturing processes and equipment improvements
Support production operations by providing engineering shift coverage and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
Meet operational goals related to safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost
Coordinate effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment to support continuous improvement initiatives
Analyze tooling, equipment, and processes to identify root causes and implement solutions
Provide technical assistance and training to manufacturing personnel
Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely project execution
Support compliance with applicable quality and environmental management systems
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
Experience supporting machining operations, particularly gear and transmission component manufacturing
Working knowledge of CNC machining and the ability to review and make minor NC program adjustments
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and basic GD&T
Familiarity with tooling processes and machining equipment
Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email tools
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive production environment
Preferred
Experience with gear manufacturing processes (such as broaching, hobbing, grinding, or hard turning)
