Responsibilities
Provide legal advice to management and leadership on corporate, commercial, and operational matters
Support compliance, enterprise risk, and corporate governance initiatives, including policy development and implementation
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts and agreements
Advise on legal matters impacting day-to-day business operations, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities
Identify, assess, and communicate legal risks, offering practical and business-oriented solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and manage external counsel as needed
Qualification
Required
Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing
3–5 years of experience practicing law at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Experience providing legal advice on commercial matters, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods or food and beverage industry
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues, perform legal research, and make sound recommendations
Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts
Experience working for an international organization with a strong U.S. footprint is highly valued
Strong business acumen and understanding of how legal advice supports commercial objectives
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fluency in English
