Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a QA team, in a global delivery model

Establish and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans from scratch

Address immediate pain points in UI (Puppeteer) and API (SOAPUI, Maven, Jenkins) testing, including triage and framework improvement

Skilled in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Experienced in executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues

Design, develop, and execute test cases for both UI and API components, with a strong focus on Fixed Income trading workflows and processes

Bring deep understanding of FSI trading platforms (e.g., Polaris), fixed income products such as bonds and derivatives, and demonstrate clear knowledge of the trade settlement life cycle to validate end-to-end functionality

Strong experience in SQL for data validation and backend testing

Driving the creation of regression test suites for critical back-office applications

Collaborate with development, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC

Implement and utilize test management tools (e.g., X-Ray/JIRA) for structured and traceable testing

Provide clear and concise reporting on QA progress and metrics to management

Ensure effective, efficient, and continuous communication (written and verbal) with global stakeholders

Independently troubleshoot difficult and complex issues on dev, test, UAT, and production environments

Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects, coordination between client and internal offshore teams, and managing client queries

Demonstrate high attention to detail, work in a dynamic environment whilst maintaining high quality standards and develop strong internal working relationships with a flexible work ethic

Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Turn Around Time (TAT)

Required

Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech/MCA or MBA in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Professional Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Quality Assurance (Testing), with proven experience collaborating with client stakeholders and delivering high-quality outcomes

Domain Expertise: Significant hands-on experience in testing within the Financial Services Industry, particularly Fixed Income trading workflows

Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing

Strong experience in Playwright (or similar modern web automation tools)

Familiarity with TypeScript, Page Object Model (POM), MongoDB, GitHub, and Jenkins for automation and CI/CD integration

Hands-on expertise in UI testing with Puppeteer

Experience building or maintaining UI automation frameworks

Familiarity with test case management tools like JIRA + XRay and agile methodologies

Proven ability to establish and implement QA processes, including comprehensive manual testing strategies and regression suites for critical applications

Demonstrated track record of delivering projects successfully in an agile environment, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to SLAs/TATs

Over 6 + years of experience as QA Lead
