Safety Administrative Assistant
Sellars is a company focused on safety and environmental health, and they are seeking a Safety Administrative Assistant to support their day-to-day safety functions. The role involves coordinating worker's compensation programs, conducting safety audits, and maintaining OSHA compliance.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the worker’s compensation program
Work with HR on medical providers to ensure proper care and facilitate employees’ return to work for Workers Comp/FMLA
Receive, inform and record accident and injury, reports/records for all buildings
Work with managers to accommodate employees on restricted Work Comp duty
Maintain OSHA 300 log for annual posting and other reporting
Coordinate and create all aspects of safety and OSHA training programs
Participate as a member of the risk assessment team and safety committee team
Conduct safety audits in accordance with OSHA regulations in all buildings
Completion of record keeping monitoring effectiveness of training program
Recognize hazards to identify conditions or actions that may cause injury, illness or property damage
Involvement with fire/tornado drill, fit testing, hearing testing, and forklift record keeping
Maintains a working knowledge of current and impending EH&S regulatory requirements for federal, state and local agencies, such as OSHA, EPA, WIDNR, PADCNR, Etc

Qualification
Required

Associates and/or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
3 + years of Administrative experience, required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Problem solving skills
Proven leadership skills
Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office, required
Local travel required
