Responsibilities
Gathers customer requirements, identifies the most cost-efficient service solution(s), orders services, and tracks services to delivery. Uses judgment in prioritizing customer tickets and adjusting resolutions based on customer needs. Proposes solutions to the government customer and seeks approval for expenditures
Provides technical support including assisting onsite and remote users of all ranks with troubleshooting devices. Examples include, but are not limited to, Windows laptop, mobile phones, tablets, network, application, and printer issues. Resolves account access, connectivity, and device configuration issues, escalating internally or to service providers as required
Oversees IT hardware inventory and software license management, including asset tracking, coordinating refreshes/replacements, monitoring license usage, transferring licenses, supporting hardware audits, and conducting periodic inventory reconciliations. Manages shipping and receiving of hardware delivered directly to the government. Tracks inventory by serial number, distributes material to customers, and stores excess materials in a secure, controlled space at the government facility
Coordinate and manage the issuance, return, and lifecycle management of government-furnished equipment (GFE), ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody
Troubleshoot and resolve account access, connectivity, and device configuration issues, escalating to NMCI and/or contracted service providers as required
Conducts reporting and makes recommendations to improve inventory control. Participates in periodic inventory audits led by government personnel
Disposes of Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) equipment that is no longer economically feasible to maintain, including picking up retired devices and delivering them to the disposal facility
Manages team file share structures and their user access, email distribution lists, global address listings, and user account services for the supported customer team
Supports knowledge management activities, including maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, FAQs, and internal documentation to promote consistent and efficient IT support. May create SharePoint sites to provide access to information resources
Collaborates with functional, security, and onboarding/offboarding teams to ensure timely IT support for personnel transitions, minimizing disruption to operations
Ensures all activities comply with Navy IT governance, cybersecurity, and records management requirements, and contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives
Executes job responsibilities as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) area and labor category, if applicable

Qualification
Required
An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
Seven (7) years of experience providing helpdesk or other information technology experience in a NAVWAR or similar DoD environment required
Experience installing and upgrading software and maintaining software licenses required
Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Must possess strong time management skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
