Chief Operating Officer
Employment Enterprises, Inc is a leading provider of specialized home financing in the U.S. They are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead and transform operational and credit risk functions within the organization. The role involves developing operational strategies, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with various teams to align operational priorities with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute operational strategies to support the company’s mission, growth objectives, and profitability targets
Streamline processes across the loan lifecycle—from origination through servicing—to ensure efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction
Oversee operational compliance with agency, investor, and regulatory requirements
Lead audits (including MORA), quality control, and compliance initiatives with support from quality control leads
Direct end-to-end mortgage operations, including underwriting, closing, post-closing, and servicing
Oversee the VP of Operations and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Oversee credit policy, credit risk management, and loan quality assurance across all lending channels
Maintain strong relationships with investors and agencies, ensuring adherence to all standards
Champion change management initiatives to enhance department collaboration and workflow
Collaborate with the CTO to improve digital mortgage capabilities and operational automation
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Audit teams to align operational priorities with corporate strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required
Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in mortgage banking or financial services, including management of loan origination and servicing operations
Proven success in scaling operational infrastructure, managing large teams, and leading process improvements in a regulated environment
Experience managing GSE and investor relationships and ensuring compliance with secondary market guidelines
Deep understanding of credit risk and operational management
Strong process orientation, people management, and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to inspire and influence
Expertise in process improvement, workflow optimization, and technology integration
Industry experience with financial services or mortgage banking
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience with REITs is a plus
