Administrative Program Specialist C

Responsibilities

Administers the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) throughout Louisiana
Directs the preparation, monitoring, and disbursement of federal and state matching grant funds
Assures that ongoing projects funded statewide are in compliance with federal and state policies, codes, regulations, & laws
Coordinates grants preparation with agency managers and other personnel in the development of recreational trails throughout Louisiana
Meets with officials of federal, state, and local agencies and entities, legislators, professional organizations, and interested groups on RTP matters
Conducts meetings & serves as chairman of the FHWA Recreational Trails Program for Louisiana Advisory Committee
Provides consulting and technical assistance to interagency colleagues, elected officials, federal representatives and other entities, in all areas of recreational trail development

Required

Five years of experience in administrative services
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
