Responsibilities

Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician

Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures

Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions

Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources

Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care

Qualification

BLS CertificationNCCPA CredentialAdvanced Life SupportMaster's DegreePatient CareCommunication SkillsTeam Collaboration

Required

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program

Preferred

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

Master's degree preferred

1 year of experience preferred
