Responsibilities

Perform routine tests, mix/cast chemicals and energetics, collect data, and operate equipment in accordance with standard procedures. Demonstrates proficiency in following detailed work standards and following safety protocols. Demonstrates proficiency in acquiring skills and performing work with specialization as required

Conducts laboratory procedures for chemical analysis with wet chemical techniques or analytical instruments. Other procedures include performing mechanical testing, environmental exposure, combustion testing, hazard testing and propellant compatibility testing to evaluate the suitability of materials for specific product or process applications

Applies results for quality control purposes, process or product failure analysis or other forensic purposes, contamination analysis or for the understanding of results from engineering development activities

Required
