Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design of complex automation systems, equipment, and tooling, integrating mechanical and pneumatic systems
Develop advanced concepts, layouts, and specifications for new automated equipment and enhancements to existing systems
Oversee the creation of detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and manufacturability
Drive prototype development, evaluate performance, and refine designs for reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
Manage project timelines, engineering workflows, and cross-functional communication to ensure successful execution
Conduct design reviews, analyze test results, and implement improvements based on production feedback
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior designers and project team members
Support long-term equipment evolution through continuous improvement and lifecycle design updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or automation-focused environment
Proven experience designing full machines, automation systems, robotics, or integrated production equipment
Strong ability to lead projects independently and collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams
Preferred
Advanced 3D CAD expertise; SolidWorks experience strongly preferred, including complex assemblies and machine design
Hands-on understanding of automation equipment, tooling, and production environments
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, production-minded approach
