Supply Chain Operations Associate I

Responsibilities
Manage purchase order processing and order status for an assigned category, material group, or service scope
Evaluate delivery timelines, lead-time exposure, and supplier risk signals; recommend mitigation or reprioritization actions
Review order confirmations, pricing updates, and delivery commitments and coordinate alignment with Planning and Finance
Provide input to purchasing prioritization decisions based on material readiness and operational needs
Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for routine supplier communications within assigned scope
Investigate and coordinate resolution of routine pricing discrepancies, documentation gaps, or shipment delays
Recommend corrective actions and escalation pathways where risk or impact is identified
Support supplier onboarding, qualification documentation, and information requests in partnership with Quality
Maintain accurate purchasing data including pricing, contract attributes, supplier details, and lead-time records
Analyze purchasing and delivery trends to identify recurring issues or improvement opportunities
Maintain documentation and transaction history to support traceability, audit readiness, and financial alignment
Contribute to updates to purchasing procedures, forms, and system workflows within defined scope
Partner with Supply Chain Planning to align purchasing activity with inventory targets and material readiness priorities
Participate in materials readiness, operations, and supplier review meetings as an analytical contributor
Communicate risk assessments, delivery scenarios, and proposed actions to stakeholders
Operates with moderate autonomy within established purchasing and approval frameworks
Exercises discretion and independent judgment in evaluating supplier risk, delivery exposure, and documentation discrepancies
Resolves routine purchasing issues independently; escalates complex or high-impact risks with supporting analysis
Influences purchasing prioritization through recommendations and risk assessments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Logistics, or related field
1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or operations
Demonstrated analytical capability in reviewing pricing, delivery, or supplier performance data
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Commitment to documentation rigor, compliance, and data integrity
Preferred
Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
Familiarity with ERP / purchasing systems (Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.)
Exposure to supplier documentation, qualification workflows, or deviation/invoice resolution activities
