Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Collections
Lead collection efforts for assigned customer accounts
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances
Contact customers via phone and email to secure timely payment
Resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and disputes in a professional and effective manner
Negotiate payment arrangements when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities and account notes
Partner with internal teams to address account-related issues impacting payment
Billing
Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and timely
Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
Ensure billing data is complete and accurate within internal systems
Learn and follow company billing processes (training provided)
Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks
Assist with general administrative support as needed
Perform data entry, reporting, and account research
Systems & Tools
Printstream mainframe system (billing and accounts receivable aging reports)
Microsoft Excel – heavy daily usage for data tracking, analysis, and reporting
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of Accounts Receivable collections experience strongly preferred
3–5 years of billing experience preferred, training available
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (daily use required)
Experience working with accounting systems; mainframe experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple accounts effectively
