Responsibilities

Performing chart abstraction, analysis, and data entry to support various regulatory and quality improvement initiatives at University Hospital
Conducting daily retrospective and concurrent chart review on patient floors to capture necessary clinical and administrative data for reporting purposes
Entering data into computerized databases and analyzing it for identification of performance improvement opportunities, which are reported back to Hospital Administration and the service area quality improvement teams

Qualification

NYS licensed RNBachelor's degree in NursingData analysisTechnical skills (PC/database)Customer service skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skillsCommunication skills

Required

NYS licensed RN (or eligible)
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field
Minimum of 3 years of RN related work experience
Excellent written/oral communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail
Solid data analysis skills
Excellent organizational skills
Solid technical (PC/database) skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage assigned duties/responsibilities within established time frames while maintaining confidentiality
