Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on federal and state banking regulations (such as FDIC guidelines), case law, and emerging financial statutes to provide actionable insights for senior leadership and internal clients
Support the reviewing and drafting of transactional documents, vendor agreements, and service provider contracts to ensure they meet internal compliance and risk standards
Assist in the preparation of corporate records, board meeting materials, and governance documents, while helping to maintain official bank policies and procedures
Monitor and summarize regulatory updates to identify potential impacts on bank operations, and participate in special projects related to litigation support, intellectual property, or process improvements within the legal department
Work closely with the Retail team to review and validate the accuracy of official documents, including but not limited to Powers of Attorney, Conservatorship orders, Estate documents, and Subpoenas. This responsibility involves ensuring that all submitted documentation meets legal and regulatory standards, supporting the Retail team in interpreting complex legal instruments, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on proper procedures for handling sensitive customer matters

Required

Currently enrolled in Law School (rising 2L or 3L)
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw)
Proven analytical skills
Proven critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills
