Radio Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with a leading utility company, is looking for a Telecom Engineer II to support the IT Telecommunications department. The role involves designing and engineering plant radio systems, ensuring compliance with FCC licensing requirements, and conducting interference and coverage studies.

Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and leadership in Radio Communications
Analyze, design, and troubleshoot radio systems
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering designs
Conduct interference and coverage studies
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations
Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Design, develop, test, and validate hardware/software systems
Manage technical, cost, and schedule performance for assigned work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or minimum of 10 years of radio experience
Proficiency in Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, and Visio
Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
Experience with FCC licensing and filing processes
Ability to troubleshoot complex radio system issues
Familiarity with engineering packages and designs
