The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of general clerical duties to support the BH Mental Health Center, including composing correspondence, managing communications, and assisting with meetings and events.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of general clerical duties to support the assigned area(s) or program

Compose, type and transcribe correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required

Route written communications as appropriate

Communicate with others in person, telephone, and/or email

May receive and screen visitors and handles general inquiries

Assist with preparing for and facilitating meetings, conferences, programs and/or special events

Establish and maintain filing systems

Order and stock supplies

May enter information from a variety of sources into computer database(s) and verify data entered into computer by checking printouts/reports for errors and correcting as required

Qualification

Required

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with the public at a mental health/substance abuse center
