Responsibilities

Design and implement back-end services and APIs (primarily Node.js/TypeScript)

Write automated tests (unit/integration), optimize performance, and ensure security

Own critical features end-to-end—from design through production rollout and monitoring

Lead a team of 5–8 engineers with clear goals, regular 1:1s, coaching, and career development

Drive delivery: capacity planning, sprint execution, and risk management

Champion engineering excellence: code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and security best practices

Collaborate across Product, QA, SRE/Cloud, and Support to deliver robust solutions

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership

Required

6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

Proven experience delivering production software with Node.js and service-oriented architectures

Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

SaaS experience and high-throughput, mission-critical services

AWS cost optimization and SQL performance tuning

Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2)
