They are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Programmer with strong expertise in Edwards systems to join their Quincy branch, where the role involves programming, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance of fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

Program, commission, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems (Edwards experience required)
Perform on-site diagnostics, service, and system verification to ensure code compliance
Support installs, inspections, testing, and servicing of low-voltage life safety systems
Identify code and non-conformance issues and correct per NFPA and AHJ requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and system documentation
Complete detailed service reports and documentation
Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and internal teams
Provide customer instruction on system use and preventive maintenance
Identify opportunities for additional services or system improvements
Work independently while also being a strong team player (no lone-wolf nonsense)

Required

High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years of fire alarm technician experience with heavy programming and troubleshooting
Strong experience programming Edwards fire alarm systems (non-negotiable)
Working knowledge of NFPA 70 & 72 and local AHJ requirements
Comfortable using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices (Windows, iOS, Android, Teams, etc.)
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Valid MA Class D Systems License
