Helpdesk Associate – IT Support
Confidential is seeking a reliable and motivated Helpdesk Associate to join a frontline IT support team in Ocean County, NJ. This role involves providing first-level technical support, managing helpdesk tickets, and assisting users with common IT issues in a structured environment.
Responsibilities
Respond to and resolve IT helpdesk tickets via phone, email, and ticketing system
Provide Level 1 technical support for login issues, password resets, email, printers, and connectivity
Support users with Microsoft 365 , Windows 10/11, and basic workstation issues
Prepare and configure workstations, software installs, and peripherals
Document ticket resolutions and client interactions accurately
Follow established SOPs, workflows, and escalation procedures
Assist with onboarding tasks such as account provisioning and device labeling
Communicate status updates clearly to users and internal teams
Escalate complex technical issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support when required
Qualification
Required
1+ year of experience in any IT environment (helpdesk, desktop support, or similar)
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and basic networking concepts
Experience working within a ticketing system
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow documented procedures and workflows
Detail-oriented with a strong customer service mindset
Dependable and comfortable working in an onsite office environment
Preferred
Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a plus but not required
