Responsibilities
Work alongside the Plant Controller with a focus on cost management and Financial Planning and Analysis while working to learn all areas the of the operation (Manufacturing Operations, Financial Reporting, Capex, Investment Management, Budgeting, Internal Controls and Compliance, Reporting, etc.)
FP&A - (Financial Planning and Analysis), Identify opportunities for cost reduction (Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, etc.)
Run planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Track performance metrics and provide variance analysis
Cost Accounting, create accurate cost accounting (Product Costing, Variance Reporting, allocation)
Review bills of materials (BOMs)
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Accounting in a manufacturing environment
At least 3+ years of costing experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls
Costing and Distribution
A US Citizen or a Green Card holder
Strong cost accounting experience
Some proficiency with financial software, i.e. ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc
Strong Excel skills
Preferred
Food industry experience
CPA or CMA
