The Auto-Labeling and Data Loop team is responsible for improving Rivian’s Perception System through data-driven methods, and the Senior Manager will lead these efforts by setting technical direction and managing operations to enhance autonomy performance.

Responsibilities
Set the technical direction and lead the planning, design, and implementation of an accurate, scalable, and reliable Auto-Labeling System to supervise our Perception System
Drive continuous improvement in our onboard performance by understanding current limitations and addressing them through improved training data. This includes improving accuracy, diversity, scale, and adding new features to support product expansion
Manage the operations that continuously improve our training and evaluation datasets, including curation and dataset generation
Work with our ML Infrastructure team to build the tools that allow our data operations to scale efficiently
Lead technical teams and mentor team members, both individual contributors and people managers, championing best practices, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Extensive professional experience in Machine Learning for Perception and Robotics with a track record of delivering results in high-complexity systems and managing high-performing ML teams
Extensive professional experience in Software Development and managing high-performing software teams
Strong problem solving and coordination skills and an ability to operate effectively in a highly cross functional and fast paced environment
Excellent team player with strong communication and presentation skills
