IT Operations Specialist

Fishbowl is a company focused on providing a seamless IT environment for its employees. The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for technical assistance, user onboarding/offboarding, system provisioning, and maintaining IT security and hardware inventory.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate the setup of new user accounts and profiles
Assist in providing training and orientation for new employees on IT systems and policies
Ensure the secure removal of access and data for departing employees
Configure, install, and deploy computer systems and software applications
Ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest software and security patches
Maintain a standard image for system deployment
Keep track of hardware assets, maintaining accurate records and documentation
Perform periodic hardware inventory audits
Assist in ordering and tracking IT equipment and accessories
Enforce and promote IT security policies and best practices
Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats as they arise
Collaborate with the IT team to implement security measures and updates
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues for end-users
Provide first-level support for printer, scanner, and other peripheral devices
Collaborate with IT specialists for more complex hardware problems
Set up and maintain audio-visual equipment for meetings and presentations
Address technical issues related to AV equipment promptly
Provide technical support for office equipment, such as copiers and fax machines
Address user inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, or in person
Provide remote support and guidance to employees for common software and hardware problems
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT team members and follow up to ensure resolution

Required

Proven experience in a technical support role or a related field
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IT security best practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
