Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with case management from inception through resolution
Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinate with internal departments, outside counsel, and correctional facilities for case-related information
Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders for hearings and trials
Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely filings
Handle medical records and other sensitive documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3+ years as a litigation paralegal in civil litigation, medical malpractice, or insurance defense
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
Strong knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Familiarity with healthcare and correctional systems is a plus
