Responsibilities

Provide front-line medical support to subjects
Intervene and document when adverse events occur and verify follow-up of adverse events on study, including following-up by phone, if required
Communicate relevant information to the physicians and medical staff in order to ensure the overall safety of subjects
Administer appropriate treatment as necessary
Maintain all medication in the site’s emergency crash cart, medicine cabinets and crash bags
Share acquired knowledge when preparing special projects
Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to advise and inform subjects on matters regarding medical study-related questions
Perform venous catheter insertion, removal and direct venipuncture
Perform vital signs, electrocardiograms, monitor telemetry and collect urine samples as per guidelines
Prepare and administer study medication
Perform intradermal, sub-cutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous injections/infusions
Participate in or lead the reading of informed consent forms, explain study specifics and answer subject questions, when applicable
Perform technical activities related to your field of expertise
May be assigned other clinical tasks

Required

Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic
Relative alternate certification may be considered acceptable
Demonstrates good computer skills especially in the utilization of Microsoft Word and Excel and clinical software
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
Spanish level: Required bilingualism includes understanding various messages, exchanging verbally on subjects related to the tasks to be executed, and writing simple messages
Active certification of either the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic (PMD)

Preferred

Experience in regulatory context will be considered an asset
Candidate who does not possess the required training and/or experience may be considered under different criteria
