Tax Assistant

LHH is a growing real estate and property management company based in Hackensack, NJ, seeking a Junior Internal Tax Assistant to join its in-house accounting and tax team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on tax experience within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and organization of federal, state, and local tax filings
Support quarterly and year-end tax provisions and reconciliations
Maintain tax schedules and documentation for multiple entities and properties
Partner with accounting and property management teams to gather tax-related data
Assist with responses to tax notices and support audits as needed
Provide general administrative and analytical support to the internal tax function

Qualification

Bachelor’s degreeTax experienceExcel proficiencyInterest in real estateAttention to detail

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0–2 years of tax or accounting experience (internships welcome)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Proficiency in Excel; exposure to tax software a plus

Preferred

Interest in real estate or property management tax preferred
