The IT Intern will support the Innovation & Technology team by assisting with daily operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to ongoing IT projects, gaining hands-on experience in a professional municipal technology environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with hardware and software installations, configurations, and upgrades
Provide technical support to Town staff and help troubleshoot issues related to computer systems and software applications
Document IT processes and maintain records of support requests and resolutions
Participate in the development and implementation of IT projects
Assist with maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies
Support the Innovation & Technology team with daily operations and special projects as assigned

Qualification

Computer Science degreeInformation Technology degreeArcGISWindowsMacOSLinuxTechnical supportInventory managementProject implementationDocumentation

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, GIS, or a related field
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as basic networking concepts

Preferred

Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in IT is a plus but not required
Experience with ArcGIS is preferred but not required
